2. What Personal Data do we collect?

Some of the personal data we collect is mandatory for the provision and functioning of PEEK, while other personal data is considered optional, designed to enhance your user experience. Please be aware that without providing the mandatory personal data, we won't be able to grant you access to PEEK.

a. When visiting the Website and/or App

When you visit the Website or App, we can process the following categories of Personal Data from you:

  • Technical Data: IP address, operating system, date and time of access, country from which PEEK is accessed (based on IP address), browser type, referrer URL, log-in data, and device type;

c. Chat and Communication Data

As a chatting app, PEEK processes various types of communication data to provide messaging services and ensure user safety:

Chat Data Processing:

  • Messages: Text messages, emojis, and other chat content you send and receive;
  • Media Content: Photos, videos, and audio messages shared in chats (adult content permitted for 18+ users);
  • Chat Metadata: Message timestamps, read receipts, online status;
  • Voice Messages: Audio recordings sent through the chat feature.

Location and Usage Data (Optional):

  • Location Services: GPS data to connect you with nearby users (requires explicit permission). You can disable location sharing in iOS settings at any time;
  • App Usage: How you interact with the app, feature usage, and session duration;
  • Device Information: iOS version, device model, and app crashes (for App Store compliance).

Financial and Subscription Data:

  • In-App Purchases: Premium subscriptions and features purchased through Apple App Store;
  • Payment Information: Processed securely by Apple - we do not store your payment details;
  • Subscription Status: Active subscriptions and renewal dates.

Safety and Moderation:

  • Content Moderation: We use automated systems and human moderators to review content for policy violations, including adult content compliance;
  • Safety Features: Reports, blocks, and safety-related user actions;
  • Age Verification: Systems to verify users are 18+ and prevent underage access;
  • Fraud Prevention: Detection of fake profiles, scams, and inappropriate behavior.

3. How do we use your Personal Data?

We use your Personal Data to provide you products, offer you services, communicate with you, or to conduct other business operations, such as using data to improve and personalize your experience. Examples of how we may use the personal data we collect include:

  • Business relationships: We utilize transactional data, financial data, User Submissions and others for establishing, administrating, and processing contractual relationships, including the creation and management of a user account to enable you to fully utilize PEEK.
  • Ensuring the core functionality of the business and PEEK: We use location data, including geographical position, time identifier, identity data, sexual identity data, including sexual orientation, sexual preferences and others to ensure the core functionality of the business and PEEK, which encompasses maintenance, provision, improvement, monitoring, and geographically locating you relative to other users on PEEK.
  • Security and access control: Location data, including geographical position, time identifier, usage data, activity data, account data and others are used for monitoring, analyzing, and testing of networks and IT infrastructures, system and error checks, documentation, security copies, and communication of security updates;
  • Fraud prevention: Mandatory and optional data collected in the process of creating your PEEK account, transactional data, texts and pictures in chat conversations that are anonymized and stripped of personal information, pictures or videos that you upload, publish or provide in any other way, information about the images (e.g. metadata), such as the location of a photo and device information, and others, are used to detect, analyze and prevent fraudulent activities and scams on PEEK.

4. Apple App Store Compliance & 18+ Content Policy

PEEK complies with Apple App Store guidelines for adult-oriented applications:

Age Restrictions and Verification

  • PEEK is rated 17+ in the App Store and requires users to be at least 18 years old;
  • We implement robust age verification during account creation;
  • Users must provide valid date of birth and may be required to verify their age through additional means;
  • Accounts found to belong to users under 18 will be immediately terminated.

Adult Content Guidelines

  • Adult content is permitted within the app for verified 18+ users;
  • All content must comply with App Store guidelines and applicable laws;
  • Content moderation systems monitor for prohibited material;
  • Users can report inappropriate content for review.

iOS Integration and Data Sharing

  • Payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple App Store;
  • We integrate with iOS privacy features including App Tracking Transparency;
  • Location services require explicit user permission through iOS settings;

5. What legal basis do we rely on when processing your Personal Data?

We process your Personal Data based on the following legal bases:

Special Category Data: As an adult-oriented app, we process special categories of personal data (sexual orientation, explicit content) under GDPR Article 9. This processing is based on your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
